nygov-logoEffective immediately, Millennium Collaborative Care will accept regulatory waiver requests from providers. The state previously announced that the NYS Department of Health (DOH), the Office of Mental Health (OMH), the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS), and the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) have been granted the ability to waive certain regulatory requirements for DSRIP projects and will accept them from PPSs on a quarterly basis. In lieu of a submission date from the state, Millennium will accept waivers until two weeks prior to the state’s deadline once released.

The agencies are only authorized to grant waivers when necessary and when consistent with applicable law, to avoid duplication of requirements and efficient implementation of the DSRIP Projects. Please be advised, the agencies may not waive regulations pertaining to patient safety nor waive regulations if the waiver would risk patient safety.

To submit a waiver

For all providers interested in submitting a waiver request in the next round, you must review the current approved waivers prior to submitting a request. If a waiver has already been approved, to any PPS, that you would like to take advantage of, please submit the number of the waiver and the name of the provider(s) to be associated with that waiver.

First round responses can be found at:http://www.health.ny.gov/health_care/medicaid/redesign/dsrip/regulatory_waivers/

If you are submitting a new waiver request, please use the spreadsheet found online at: http://www.health.ny.gov/health_care/medicaid/redesign/dsrip/docs/regulatory_waiver_request_template.xlsx

Additional information regarding the waiver process can be found at:www.health.ny.gov/health_care/medicaid/redesign/dsrip/regulatory_flexibility_guidance.htm

As more information becomes available, we will keep you up-to-date. Please submit all waiver requests to Kelly Showard at kshoward@millenniumcc.org.  Additionally, if you have any questions about this process, please contact Kelly at kshoward@millenniumcc.org or 716-898-4737.
