Through on-site trainings, residents will gain a better understanding of the populations they serve. CBOs will have an opportunity to partner with primary care residency programs and make meaningful connections to the health care delivery systems that serve their clients.

This funding opportunity is part of a larger project to increase resident awareness of social needs that impact the health of their patients, and to provide them with tools and resources to address those needs as part of their care. The project is funded by the New York State Health Foundation.

Please contact Carla Nelson ( or Anu Ashok ( with questions about this funding opportunity. Please contact Amy Liu ( with questions about the RFA.

GNYHA is a dynamic, constantly evolving center for health care advocacy and expertise, but our core mission—helping hospitals deliver the finest patient care in the most cost-effective way—never changes.
