Co-Authors Paper Published in Journal of Obesity
Esra Mustafa, Care Manager – Pharmacist, Millennium’s Enhanced Patient Services Team, has been named a Board-Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP) by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS), an autonomous division of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA).
Esra earned Board Certification following successful completion of a PGY-1 residency and with additional years of clinical practice experience. Esra passed an ambulatory care specialty certification examination and will continue to maintain her certification by completing extensive continuing education courses.
Board certification is a recognized credential for determining which pharmacists are qualified to contribute at advanced practice levels given the rigorous standards mandated by BPS board certification and re certification. BPS currently recognizes more than 42,000 pharmacist certifications across 11 specialties.
In addition, following two years of research activities, a paper co-authored by Esra entitled “Impact of Sleeve Gastrectomy on Psychiatric Medication Use and Symptoms” was published in the Journal of Obesity.
